Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A hare, blue and yellow tits, a jay, a mallard duck, snipes and a heron on a stone ledge, with a spaniel and a rifle on a carpet, before a draped curtain, in a park landscape by Adriaen de Gryef. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,874.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaen de Gryef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Hound Guarding Dead Game Birds, A Stag And A Hare, With Huntsmen In A Landscape; And Hounds With A Dead Swan, Hare And A Boar, With Huntsmen In A Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,413.02).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hare, blue and yellow tits, a jay, a mallard duck, snipes and a heron on a stone ledge, with a spaniel and a rifle on a carpet, before a draped curtain, in a park landscape von Adriaen de Gryef zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.874,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
