The work An Afternoon Idyll by Adolf von Meckel was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in New York in October 2004. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,925.00 (€ 14,063.24), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolf von Meckel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nile at Bulak in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 141,812.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An Afternoon Idyll von Adolf von Meckel wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.925,00 (€ 14.063,24) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolf von Meckel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nile at Bulak im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 141.812,17).
