This artwork by Adolf von Meckel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. In the Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle auction, the work Bedouins In The Desert sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adolf von Meckel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Nile at Bulak in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 141,812.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adolf von Meckel erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle wurde die Arbeit Bedouins In The Desert für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolf von Meckel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Nile at Bulak im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 141.812,17).
