Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A land without shade by Adolf von Meckel was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,870.20). Admittedly, works by Adolf von Meckel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Nile at Bulak in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 141,812.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A land without shade von Adolf von Meckel wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 34.870,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolf von Meckel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Nile at Bulak im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.700,00 (€ 141.812,17).
