Acquired directly from the artist, Bombay, circa 1960s | Robert Eugene Marshak (1916-1992) was a world-renowned theoretical physicist and former President of the City College of New York. He was famously recruited as part of the scientific research efforts during World War II, and later he helped to found the Federation of American Scientists, to ensure that the terror of nuclear weapons was contained. Marshak met his wife, Ruth Gup (1916-1996),

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,021.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adi M. Davierwalla achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Galaxy in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 158,723.44).
