Acquired directly from the artist, Bombay, circa 1960s | Robert Eugene Marshak (1916-1992) was a world-renowned theoretical physicist and former President of the City College of New York. He was famously recruited as part of the scientific research efforts during World War II, and later he helped to found the Federation of American Scientists, to ensure that the terror of nuclear weapons was contained. Marshak met his wife, Ruth Gup (1916-1996),

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Adi M. Davierwalla was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,313.63). Admittedly, works by Adi M. Davierwalla have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Galaxy in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 158,723.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Adi M. Davierwalla kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.680,00 (€ 19.313,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adi M. Davierwalla auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Galaxy im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 158.723,44).
