Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Midnight Sun At Lofoten, Norway by Adelsteen Normann. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adelsteen Normann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats on a Norwegian Fjord, which sold at auction in April 2003 for USD 38,240.00 (€ 31,140.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Midnight Sun At Lofoten, Norway von Adelsteen Normann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.724,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adelsteen Normann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boats on a Norwegian Fjord beobachtet, die im April 2003 für USD 38.240,00 (€ 31.140,07) versteigert wurde.
