Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,255.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adelsteen Normann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boats on a Norwegian Fjord in April 2003 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 31,140.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Steam Boat On Norwegian Fjord von Adelsteen Normann kam im Januar 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.255,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
