Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Arab Café by Addison Thomas Millar was sold in the 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and auction at Christies in New York in April 2004. The price achieved of USD 16,730.00 (€ 8,470.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Addison Thomas Millar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inspecting the Sword in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 104,493.18).

Die Arbeit An Arab Café von Addison Thomas Millar wurde im April 2004 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.730,00 (€ 8.470,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Addison Thomas Millar erzielen.
