Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Orage / A L'Abri by Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 27,500.00 (€ 23,490.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Promenade de la Treille à Genève, um 1820 in March 2007 with an auction result of CHF 1,080,000.00 (€ 665,895.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'Orage / A L'Abri von Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 27.500,00 (€ 23.490,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Promenade de la Treille à Genève, um 1820 im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 1.080.000,00 (€ 665.895,02).
