Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les ruines des Allignes by Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer was auctioned at Christies in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,547.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Promenade de la Treille à Genève, um 1820 in March 2007 with an auction result of CHF 1,080,000.00 (€ 665,895.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les ruines des Allignes von Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.547,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang-Adam Töpffer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Promenade de la Treille à Genève, um 1820 im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 1.080.000,00 (€ 665.895,02).
