Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Adam McEwen was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in March this year. The price achieved of USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,504.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adam McEwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Oasis Water Fountain in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 437,000.00 (€ 320,381.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Adam McEwen wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.504,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adam McEwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Oasis Water Fountain im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 437.000,00 (€ 320.381,23).
