In March this year Christies in New York held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Nuremberg by Adam McEwen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,768.43), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adam McEwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Oasis Water Fountain in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 437,000.00 (€ 320,381.23).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nuremberg von Adam McEwen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.768,43) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adam McEwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Oasis Water Fountain im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 437.000,00 (€ 320.381,23).
