Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Repos by Adam Henein was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 63,900.00 (€ 74,348.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Henein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Om Kalthoum, which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 189,300.00 (€ 219,355.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Repos von Adam Henein wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.900,00 (€ 74.348,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Henein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Om Kalthoum beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 189.300,00 (€ 219.355,48) versteigert wurde.
