Upper estimate price exceeded by 53 %.
The work Donkey by Adam Henein was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 152,800.00 (€ 177,783.82), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Adam Henein; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Om Kalthoum sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of GBP 189,300.00 (€ 219,355.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Donkey von Adam Henein wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 152.800,00 (€ 177.783,82) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Adam Henein; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Om Kalthoum im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 189.300,00 (€ 219.355,48).
