Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,431.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Barland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures in a horse and cart in an extensive landscape, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,648.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Returning home von Adam Barland kam im März 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 956,00 (€ 1.431,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Barland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures in a horse and cart in an extensive landscape beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.648,93) versteigert wurde.
