Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work By the stream by Adam Barland. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 529.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Adam Barland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in a horse and cart in an extensive landscape in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,648.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit By the stream von Adam Barland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 529,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adam Barland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures in a horse and cart in an extensive landscape im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.648,93).
