Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Adoration Of The Shepherds by Abraham van Dyck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,203.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Abraham van Dyck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Piping Boy: portrait of a youth, half-length seated, playing a pipe, in a slashed doublet and a red hat in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 75,250.00 (€ 121,678.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adoration Of The Shepherds von Abraham van Dyck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.203,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abraham van Dyck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Piping Boy: portrait of a youth, half-length seated, playing a pipe, in a slashed doublet and a red hat im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.250,00 (€ 121.678,26).
