This artwork by Abraham Solomon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction, the work The Valour Of Love sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,113.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abraham Solomon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Ballroom in the Year 1760 "Now let the youth to whose superior place sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of GBP 25,250.00 (€ 29,662.25).
