Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Acolyte by Abraham Solomon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 9,017.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Solomon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Ballroom in the Year 1760 "Now let the youth to whose superior place, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 25,250.00 (€ 29,662.25).

Die Arbeit The Acolyte von Abraham Solomon kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 9.017,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Solomon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Ballroom in the Year 1760 "Now let the youth to whose superior place beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 25.250,00 (€ 29.662,25) versteigert wurde.
