Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A mountainous landscape with figures fishing by a lake, a ruined castle and a waterfall beyond by Abraham Pether for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,280.61). This price was achieved in the auction Living with Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Pether achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded river landscape, with a faggot gatherer on a bridge, cattle and sheep in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 30,234.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with figures fishing by a lake, a ruined castle and a waterfall beyond von Abraham Pether für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.280,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living with Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Pether erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded river landscape, with a faggot gatherer on a bridge, cattle and sheep im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 30.234,80).
