Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Waterfall At Tivoli by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,280.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 274,797.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterfall At Tivoli von Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.280,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros erzielen.
