The work An extensive view of the Greek theatre, Taormina, seen from the top, with travelers by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,050.57), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 274,797.19).

Die Arbeit An extensive view of the Greek theatre, Taormina, seen from the top, with travelers von Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 274.797,19).
