Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900, which included the work An extensive view with a lake outside Rome (possibly Lake Bolsena), with figures by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,551.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 274,797.19).

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive view with a lake outside Rome (possibly Lake Bolsena), with figures von Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.551,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros erzielen.
