Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in London held the auction The Lure of Naples: A Private Collection of Italian Views, which included the work The Pantheon, Rome by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 274,797.19).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Via Appia Near Formia, With Travellers And Peasants By The Walls Of Castellone (?), The Bay Of Gaeta And Mount Circeo Beyond; And A Port With Maltese Merchants And Sailors Making Music And Dancing, The Fort Of Gaeta Beyond im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 274.797,19).
