Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A sportsman offered refreshment outside an inn while his dogs rest after a hunt by Abraham Danielsz. Hondius. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 65,765.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Danielsz. Hondius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sportsman Offered Refreshment Outside An Inn While His Dogs Rest After The Hunt, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,478.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A sportsman offered refreshment outside an inn while his dogs rest after a hunt von Abraham Danielsz. Hondius zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 65.765,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Danielsz. Hondius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sportsman Offered Refreshment Outside An Inn While His Dogs Rest After The Hunt beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 150.000,00 (€ 138.478,58) versteigert wurde.
