Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 37,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Danielsz. Hondius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sportsman Offered Refreshment Outside An Inn While His Dogs Rest After The Hunt, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,478.58).
