Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two studies of female head (recto); Studies of hands (verso) by Abraham Bloemaert was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 91,975.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Bloemaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid, which sold at auction in January 2013 for USD 434,500.00 (€ 319,861.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two studies of female head (recto); Studies of hands (verso) von Abraham Bloemaert kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 91.975,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Bloemaert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid beobachtet, die im Januar 2013 für USD 434.500,00 (€ 319.861,60) versteigert wurde.
