This artwork by Abraham Bloemaert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January last year. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work A sportsman resting under a tree with two dogs sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,182.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Bloemaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 434,500.00 (€ 319,861.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abraham Bloemaert erzielte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings wurde die Arbeit A sportsman resting under a tree with two dogs für USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.182,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Bloemaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 319.861,60).
