Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Transfiguration by Abraham Bloemaert was sold in the Old Master Drawings: Online auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,136.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Bloemaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 434,500.00 (€ 319,861.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Transfiguration von Abraham Bloemaert wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings: Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.136,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Bloemaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Mythological Scene, Perhaps Venus And Cupid im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 319.861,60).
