Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Message In Transit (Jihad), 1998 by Abiodun Olaku was auctioned at Artcurial in Marrakech in May 2021. The price achieved of MAD 45,500.00 (€ 3,992.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 37,500.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abiodun Olaku have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Elemental Notes" in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,446.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Message In Transit (Jihad), 1998 von Abiodun Olaku kam im Mai 2021 bei Artcurial in Marrakesch zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 45.500,00 (€ 3.992,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 37.500,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abiodun Olaku auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Elemental Notes" im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.446,39).
