Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work The Charge, 1998 by Abiodun Olaku. The price achieved of MAD 65,000.00 (€ 5,703.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 55,000.00 – 88,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abiodun Olaku - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Elemental Notes", which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,446.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Charge, 1998 von Abiodun Olaku zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 65.000,00 (€ 5.703,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 55.000,00 – 88.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abiodun Olaku mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Elemental Notes" beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.446,39) versteigert wurde.
