Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Ilu Wa' (Our Root) by Abiodun Olaku was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,841.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Abiodun Olaku have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work "Elemental Notes" was auctioned for GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,446.39).
