Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Heavenly Steps by Abiodun Olaku. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,049.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Abiodun Olaku have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work "Elemental Notes" was auctioned for GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,446.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heavenly Steps von Abiodun Olaku zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.049,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Abiodun Olaku konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2021 die Arbeit "Elemental Notes" für GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.446,39) versteigert.
