A top price for Abe Blashko - as previously expected
The work Dock Worker by Abe Blashko was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,050.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dock Worker is the most expensive artwork by Abe Blashko that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Dock Worker von Abe Blashko kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.050,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dock Worker das teuerste Kunstwerk von Abe Blashko, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
