This artwork by Abdulnasser Gharem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I auction, the work In Transit V (from the Restored Behavior series) sold for USD 116,500.00 (€ 88,064.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abdulnasser Gharem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Message/Messenger in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 568,450.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abdulnasser Gharem erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I wurde die Arbeit In Transit V (from the Restored Behavior series) für USD 116.500,00 (€ 88.064,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abdulnasser Gharem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Message/Messenger im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 568.450,17).
