Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In Transit IV (from the Restored Behavior series) by Abdulnasser Gharem was sold in the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2017. The price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,379.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdulnasser Gharem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Message/Messenger in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 568,450.17).
