In October 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube by Abdullah M. I. Syed. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,661.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube is the most expensive artwork by Abdullah M. I. Syed that we have observed at auctions so far.
