Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Flying Rug Vi by Abdullah M. I. Syed. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,781.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdullah M. I. Syed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,661.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flying Rug Vi von Abdullah M. I. Syed zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.781,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdullah M. I. Syed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.661,13) versteigert wurde.
