The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,521.78), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdullah M. I. Syed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,661.13).

Die Arbeit Deconstruction of the Myth of the Flying Rug 1 von Abdullah M. I. Syed wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.521,78) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdullah M. I. Syed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prayer Rug Of Necker Cube beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.661,13) versteigert wurde.
