In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Market Scene, Bali by Abdul Aziz. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 583,500.00 (€ 48,087.78), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Abdul Aziz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Courtship in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 311,345.12).

Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Market Scene, Bali von Abdul Aziz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 583.500,00 (€ 48.087,78) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abdul Aziz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Courtship im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.140.000,00 (€ 311.345,12).
