I was born in Heidenheim, studied German and Art at the University of Education in Ludwigsburg and Schwäbisch Gmünd and taught both subjects from 1976 to 2001.
I have been working as freelance artist since 2001.
Already during my teaching career I attended varions academies to further my education (Salzburg, Bad Reichenhall, Augsburg ,,,).
My early works mainly were pencil drawings and oil paintings. As I am always looking for new challenges, I extended my artistic spectrum to other disciplines. Thus, the path to sculpure in the more classical sense led me to rather atypical sculpural materials, which I brought into the 3rd dimesnion, such as paper or fabric .
In addition to drawing and painting, I am always interested in finding a three-dimensional answer to a theme.
