11th edition of Frieze New York

The pinnacle of the art world

It is one of the most prestigious fairs from the center of the art world: Frieze New York will once again transform The Shed in Manhattan into one of the most sought-after places for collectors. May 17 is the date they have probably all marked on their calendars.

More than 60 major galleries from 27 countries will be participating in this year's fair, which should be familiar to just about everyone in the art world: Frieze New York will take place for the eleventh time from May 17 to 21. Among the participating galleries are several New York City luminaries, including David Zwirner, Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, and Pace Gallery. As always, visitors can look forward to the Focus section. It presents young galleries that have only been on the market for a few years. This year, Barro, Cooper Cole, Daniel Faria Gallery, and Lomex, among others, will present the latest works of their protégés.

Frieze New York debuted in 2012 and will continue until 2019 on Randall's Island, an island between the Harlem and East Rivers. From the beginning, the fair's prestigious reputation, inherited from the original Frieze Art Fair in London, preceded it. Other offshoots have been held in Los Angeles since 2019 and in Seoul since 2022. Each year, the Frieze Art Fairs attract over 150,000 visitors.Art.Salon

Dive deeper into the art world

Till Schermer

Is our personality just an illusion? Till Schermer's paintings open up a new perspective on the fragmented human psyche. In intense, sometimes disturbing images, the artist presents the protagonists of our mental society - perhaps the start of an adventure for one's own mind.
