Original works of art to borrow: the Artothek in Wiesbaden has been operating for 25 years with this special concept. Art lovers have the opportunity to borrow works of art from the city's collection and display them at home. They can choose from around 4,000 works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries by around 350 regional and international artists. The offer has been enthusiastically received, which is why the Artothek is now celebrating its anniversary with the ART TO TAKE exhibition: 40 artists from Wiesbaden who are represented in the city collection are presenting a selection of their works for sale. These come from the genres of painting, sculpture, photography and installation. A varied supporting program with partly inclusive guided tours and opportunities to talk to the exhibited artists will bring the works closer to the public. The exhibition runs from March 14 to April 14.

Wiesbaden-based artist Katja Grandpierre, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program, is showing two works in ART TO TAKE. She has already exhibited nationally and internationally, including in Belgium, Switzerland and the USA. In her works, she explores complex themes such as the effects of a globalized society on the individual. Her unique combination of realistic and abstract painting appeals to deep-seated emotions. With intricate lines, the paintings captivate viewers.Art.Salon

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.

Guido Klumpe

It is in the context of functional architecture in urban spaces that Guido Klumpe finds the motifs that he stages with his camera as the poetry of the profane. His picturesque images unfold an opulent effect with a reduced formal language, showing us the beauty of the moment in the flow of everyday life.
