The Brisbane Street Art Festival (BSAF) has been around since 2016. It is an attempt , with the help of street art, to create a new highlight in cultural life and a sense of community and exchange. The positive response confirmed that the organizers have chosen the right path. For the eighth time, BSAF 2023 will take place, from May 6 to 21. Exhibitions, talks, workshops and live mural painting invite to convivial art experience and mediation. Like last year, Superordinary Northshore forms the center of the festival − a district where art makers are allowed to live in unused urban spaces and work in front of an audience during the event.
The festival is geared toward a broad spectrum of visitors and offers, among other things, a graffiti workshop for children, a street art cycling tour, lettering master classes for aspiring sprayers, and numerous talks. These deal with topics such as art and gender, First Nations artists, and art in public space.
