miart: It gets louder

miart is the place to go for lovers of modern and contemporary art in Milan. It is already taking place there for the 27th time and has since earned an international reputation. This year 169 galleries from 27 countries are represented. For the third year in a row, Nicola Ricciardi also conducted this miart − for 2023, she chose Crescendo as the guiding theme − an indication of the increased diversity and growth the fair has undergone under her hand, as well as her goal for the near future. Visitors will find out what the fair has to offer this year from April 14-16.

Three sections divide miart in terms of content: Emergent presents 26 young galleries and Decades reflects the evolution of art from the 1910s to the 2010s through ten carefully selected works. The main section, Established, once again captivates with a wide selection of 20th century artworks, not ignoring design, which is highly appreciated in Italy. For several years now, there have been prizes to be won at miart, which will of course be awarded again in 2023. They honor the best gallery exhibition, the best gallery of the Emergent section and the best artist of this section.Art.Salon

Dive deeper into the art world

Till Schermer

Is our personality just an illusion? Till Schermer's paintings open up a new perspective on the fragmented human psyche. In intense, sometimes disturbing images, the artist presents the protagonists of our mental society - perhaps the start of an adventure for one's own mind.
