Future-oriented art fair in old locomotive workshop

The Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen, which was only founded in 2019, is already a trade fair hit: Scandinavia's largest international art fair inspires visitors from all over the world. It opens this year on August 24 in a new location.

The Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen focuses on artworks created with the help of new technologies. Within just a few years, the number of participating galleries has more than doubled and the number of visitors has more than tripled. This development was probably helped by the sensational decision in 2020 to reopen as the first international art fair after the lockdown. Director and founder Julie Leopold Alf is leading her fair with determination and a forward-looking approach - with success. For the second time, Enter Art Fair is moving to a larger location to accommodate the crowds of visitors. From August 24 to 27, it will take place in the former locomotive workshop in Copenhagen, at Otto Busses Vej 5A.

»We connect art lovers with the most visionary galleries and artists during our annual event in Copenhagen and on our online platform throughout the year. Whether you are an established collector, dealer or buying your first artwork, you will be able to bring a unique piece of art with you home«, says Julie Leopold Alf about Enter Art Fair. »We are proud to collaborate with the industry’s key players, and together forge a meaningful path for the international art world.«

A total of 88 galleries from 22 countries are shaping this year's program of the sought-after art fair. It serves primarily, but not only, as a springboard for Scandinavian artists to international realms. 18 galleries are taking part in the Young Section, in which galleries that have existed for less than five years are allowed to present themselves. The VIP event has also established itself, with 7,000 guests from five continents attending in 2022.Even before the opening, VIPs are invited to roam the exhibition halls before everyone else and attend special artists' talks and dinners.Art.Salon

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.
