Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Nature Reserve by Zong Qixiang. The price achieved of HKD 68,750 (€ 6,349) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 60,000 - 80,000. Admittedly, works by Zong Qixiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 548,000 (€ 55,742).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature Reserve von Zong Qixiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750 (€ 6.349) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000 – 80.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zong Qixiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 548.000 (€ 55.742).
