Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Suzhou Pagoda by Zhu Danian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,952.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Danian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine, Bamboo And Plum Blossoms (Quadriptych) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 189,843.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Suzhou Pagoda von Zhu Danian im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.952,50) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Danian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pine, Bamboo And Plum Blossoms (Quadriptych) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 189.843,33).
