Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem In Kaishu by Zhou Zuoren was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,788.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Zuoren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Correspondences to Mr Hu Shifang in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 5,980,000.00 (€ 653,341.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poem In Kaishu von Zhou Zuoren wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.788,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Zuoren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Correspondences to Mr Hu Shifang im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.980.000,00 (€ 653.341,90).
